Nosey Old Neighbor

I am not liking my nosey old neighbor today at all one bit.
Brice called me when I was at Lowe's to say Mrs Nixon was yelling at him when he was talking to some workman in front of my house.
It seems that "she knows what him and I (michelle) are doing while the husband is at work" She is telling people we are having an affair! WHAT??? She even told him that I get so excited when I see him that I pee my pants.

That lady has problems! She has a big ole sign on her fence (since last week) about how Jesus is coming and how you need to be saved and born again. I guess it was ME she was talking to. ???????

It is sad as she is 83 yrs old, her husband is deceased but still why would you make up stories like that?? Next thing it will be is that I am having affairs with all the guys that come over here. Sheeezzzzzzzzz my husband is here all the time and they are all YOUNG enough to be my kid.
I am just not a happy neighbor right now.

Tornado

Well Cuero sure is NOT a calm town LOL
Today the tornado sirens went off 2 times
In a bit over an hour we had over 5 inches of rain
According to Dee Dee when she came out of Walmart she saw the tail of a tornado going back up in the sky
Oh my!
I took some pictures on my cell phone I will try to post tonight or tomorrow depending on if ATT will let me stay online

Some of our gutter came flying off the roof. Joe said he heard in some places the wind was 80 mph gusts. Yikes

There is usually never water in this drainage ditch! We went for a drive with Brice to see the damage. LOL At the lake Joe took Little Buddy out to see the ducks and geese. He wanted to chase them! Brice was laughing so hard I thought he was going to pee his pants.

Oh my are we tired

Joe and the guys raced at Houston Raceway last night. We were not too sure there would be racing as when we hit Houston it was racing. But have no fear they did. The infield was SCARY and I told the guys STAY out of there or you will be stuck forever.

We are exhausted today as we drove back after the races and did not get home til 4:30 AM. Us old folks just cannot deal with it as good as the young ones. LOL

Christina is down the road an hour or so at the beach. She was proud of herself for finding the ferry. Of course she called us several times trying to get help from us. I told her next time GET A MAP! Gosh I wonder how she will make it back to Floresville???? She might come see us tomorrow.

Joe has another week of 4 days of working. Just not sure how many more weeks that will be then to nights he goes.

Windy and humid here today. Looks like it wants to rain but none yet.

Thursday

Woo hoo Joe is off the next 3 days. I know he is more then ready to not hear that alarm at 5 AM tomorrow. Wonder what things we will get done while he is off????

I ran over to Victoria this AM to Lowe's and the Dollar Tree. Had to get some more paint for the porch. I am wondering how many gallons the front wrap around porch will take when I go to do that???? The guy told us we needed to wait a few weeks to paint it though since it was new wood we put on there.

Windy today and supposed to be in the 80's.

The ants seem to like me a lot lately. I got more ant bites today :-( They sure come out when it rains.

Oh our house was shown in Floresville yesterday. No comments yet from the realtor so not sure how it went. Some day it will sell...hope it is sooner verses later.

I guess I need to get busy doing something...hmmmm wonder what they will be

Wed.

Gosh I have not wrote in a few days....for some reason I thought I had...weird.

I have been painting the side porch the last day or so. It only has one coat of paint on it so far. Will go back over it when I get another gallon of paint. I have decided it is NAVY battleship color LOL Brice agrees with me. I tried it on the front porch cement steps but am not liking it too well. Hmmmmm

The siding is done and looks good. I will try to remember to post a few pictures. Now to work on the inside.

Been inching hotter. Today it was in the 90's. I turned the a/c on in the RV this afternoon before Joe got home as I knew I was going to have the oven on. It really is not too hot in here but sure if we have lots of days when it is this hot it will be. There was a nice breeze today so we sat outside, we do that alot.

I thought Joe was going down to Barry's shop to scale Brice's race car and also do the weekly Wednesday night taking stuff to a dumpster but so far I have not heard him leave. Hmmm guess I best check on him.

Made hotel reservations a bit ago for St Louis in August. We are having a family reunion. We cannot wait to see all the cousins!! Woo hoo even Tammy is coming from Florida. We have not seen her ...gosh who knows how long. We are going to fly I guess.........

We are headed to Houston this weekend so the guys can race. Wish us luck! Joe seems to think he has found something he has done that will make him go faster. LOL Silly man!

RAIN

Oh my did we ever get rain today. The neighbor guy was telling us in 2 hours his rain gauge showed 5 inches and we even got more after that. It was amazing how much water we had. They closed the road that run through town by our house down for a bit. Our yard is a big ole mess...YUCK!

Joe and I worked inside the house for a bit today. Working on a wall so we can have a nice big ole closet. Old houses just do not have large closets if they have any at all.

We are sitting here listening to the race now. Not sure what we will do tomorrow

Thursday

Cloudy and a tad windy today. They say San Antonio is going to have some rain, wonder if it will get all the way to us? I wonder if Victoria has a local station so I can get that news???

The siding people have been here 30 mins already and have yet to open their trailer and start work. Guess it is breakfast break??? The head guy told Joe they should be done by Saturday but we shall see. It is looking good.

Joe's last day of work for this week. He will be happy to not hear that alarm at 5 AM tomorrow. Not sure how many more weeks he will work days.

Joe is supposed to go to Floresville tomorrow since he did not go last week. He needs to pick up his last paycheck from South West General as they have YET to send it. Crazy! NOW they are saying he has to have an exit interview. WHAT???? I am not sure if I am going with him or not. I do not feel like sitting around watching him work on the truck he is trying to get the engine in so he can get it out of there. I do have some boxes I could pack (under the sinks, linen closet, etc) Not much but.....we shall see

The guys think since they are not racing this weekend that we need to go to the track that is close to us to watch others. Hmmm guess we shall see what the weather is come Saturday night. I think another dwarf car club is racing that night on the track. There is 3 clubs that are taking turns at this track.

I do not think I ever posted a picture of Scary House as I call it. It is presently getting new siding on it so maybe I will have to come up with a new name for it. It is on 2/3 acre of land in town. It has ALOT of work to be done to it but in the end all will work out fine. :-)

Catching up

I just am so not good at keeping up with the blog lately.

Joe seems to be enjoying his new job and we like it even better once he gets out of orientation and working on his own. He will work not only in the NICU but the other areas dealing with the babies. I know he has seen/assisted on atleast 1 birth. That definitely is not his favorite thing.

Joe's racing going well. He has taken a 6th one weekend and an 8th this past weekend. The first race there was 24 cars and the second 20. So not too bad. Going to be tough racing this year as it seems the new guys that have joined the club are fast and have dumped way more money in their cars then Joe and Brice have.

We spent Easter with Brice and his family. We had such a nice time. His brother who lives in Port Lavaca cooked for us. The 3 girls enjoyed hunting for eggs LOL Along with the big kids (Joe, Brice, Brian, etc)

Little Buddy (the dog) is getting use to living with us. Joe and him are the best buddies. It was funny yesterday when Little Buddy heard the siding ppl hammering as he thought it was Joe and wanted to go outside. Second day of siding people here. I cannot wait til it is done and the house on the outside looks better. I will send pictures :-)

Woo hoo Joe is off the next 3 days. Next week he has to work 4 days. (7 am-2 pm) He is outside working trying to get a light attached to his new garage. Hope he gets it to work!

I have messed in the house all day long. I am pooped. Have yet to find the remotes for the bed though yet :-( Joe now seems to think he put it in a box that I was packing the last of the kitchen stuff in. Hmmm I think those boxes are all now in the storage unit. Luckily if it was marked kitchen those boxes are pretty all right in the front. Guess I need to go look soon.

It was so windy today. Luckily it is much calmer now.

Joe headed to Floresville tomorrow supposedly. He has a truck that he has left over from when he owned the car lot that he needs to get an engine in so we can get it out of there. Not sure what else he has to do. I am hoping NOT to go as I was in the San Antonio area all day yesterday. We shall see.
