Tuesday

Morning

I need to get motivated here as I have a few errands I want to do before Joe wakes. Have plenty of time since they are just here in Cuero :-)

Realtor emailed some questions a potential buyer has. Joe will call the realtor when he wakes as I do not like to deal with that stuff. Who knows we could have an offer this week. I am not getting too excited...I will when it is over and done with. It is time though that it goes. The 2 house payments are getting OLD.

Lookie what I found on the internet :-) He is always so hot and sweaty when he gets done racing.

Monday

Gosh for some reason I was thinking it was Tuesday already.....

Joe and I went to Victoria this AM. He had to go get his drug test done for the PEDS agency he is going to try working out a few times a month. Then we had to get some metal as he has an ouchie on his race car that needs fixed. We ate at Jim's Big Burgers for the first time. It was ok. Sure was a popular place. Brice told us about another place too that we want to try. I need to ask him what he eats there so we know.

I put a coat of primer on the bathroom walls earlier today. This evening after Joe left for work I did a layer of blue on. Pretty darn blue it it. I think it will look better when we put this bead board like stuff on the bottom and paint it white. Joe will hopefully be able to do that soon but this week is so busy who knows.

The darn dog is having anxiety issues I think tonight. He likes to do this when Joe is not here. Guess he misses him or something. I keep taking him out thinking he needs to go but nope. Luckily it is almost bed time :-)

Monday

Phew I am tired from the weekend. I should go snuggle in bed with Joe ;-)

Joe took a 6th in Houston I think this weekend. The track was SLICK! They had Sprint cars racing this weekend too. In the B feature one t boned another car then flipped a few times. They ended up having to take the guy to the hospital. Yikes! They will also be in Edna July 3 and 4th. The guys have this next weekend off. WOO HOO! Wonder what I can talk Joe in to doing since there is no racing. If it was not so blasted hot it would be nice to take a Harley ride but from the looks of it we will still be having 100* weather. YUCK!

Saturday

We are headed for Houston in a bit. Only taking 1 truck with a trailer that can hold 3 cars today so that makes it nice as we can split the gas 3 ways :-) I was hoping for rain but not going to happen.

Busy week of DR appts this week. Joe went to see his internal med. dr. They ended up deciding to schedule a nuclear stress test for Friday. Good news is that his good cholesterol is 51!!!! He said he probably has never had it that high. The DR was real pleased. Other labs looked good. Friday his stress test turned out ok. While he did not go as far as normal he went as far as they really wanted him to go. He just gets short of breath and just does not always have the energy he us to. He goes to the cardiologist in a few weeks.

Dental appts went well. We are waiting for our new insurance policy to kick in so we both can get some crowns. UGH! They said we still have to wait til Sept. (had to wait a year) I think we both need atleast one if not two. Luckily the insurance will start paying for some. Phew.....

Tues

I finally ordered a new cell phone cover! Mine has taken a beaten since I take it inside when we are working. I will still use my old one when I go inside to work.

This AM I worked inside for 2 hours. Phew got all hot and sweaty and nasty as I was sanding where we had taped and floated walls. Got the bathroom walls 3/4 done...Joe has to do the higher areas I cannot reach. And also worked a bit in the master bedroom closet walls. I told Joe he could do the top of the walls as they are REAL high up there LOL Slowly but surely.......

When Joe woke up we went inside and cleaned up a bit. Man we have a mess in there! We now know what wood we still have so when we go to start a new area or need something we know what we have. LOL Plus it is a bit safer to walk in there :-)

I guess Brice is supposedly stopping by to borrow our lawn mower this evening. We shall see though as he has been out of town and I bet tired. I need to ask him about a good place to eat in Gonzales or Luling as Michele Kasper and I were talking about finding a place to meet half way. Sure would of been nice to be able to go there tonight.

Temp today was like 97* with a heat index of 103*. I think they said this is the 5th straight day in San Antonio that it was over 100*

Monday

Evening
Little Buddy and I are home alone as Joe is working. This is first night on night shifts since he was canceled last night. Little Buddy keeps looking out the window for Joe.

I went into San Antonio today for DR appts. Both went well. Now I am waiting for some referrals. They should be calling me in the next week or so. We are so lucky to have military medical.

Joe took a 3rd Saturday night at the races. He was beat by the time he got off the track. So hot and humid.

Our weather is definitely not giving us a break lately. Soooo hot! We keep seeing 100*

Saw Christina the other day (hm did I already tell you that?) She is good and I guess working part time. Said she may have a chance to go full time but one never knows with her

Afternoon from HOT HOT HOT Texas!

Joe should be pulling up from work any second now. He is then going to go get a hair cut. It is much needed. I guess he is going to try this girl that Brice goes to. Not too sure where she lives.

We are off tomorrow AM early for a busy Friday. Going to San Antonio so Joe can get some labs done, pick up meds we called in, stop to see if Habitat has some baseboards we are looking for, ?? and then mow the lawn in Floresville. (YUCK) Then we need to be back in Cuero ready to go by 6 pm.
Saturday we are going to Goliad so the guys can race. Woo hoo that is only like a 35 min drive from here! It is Brice's 21st birthday so we hope he does well.

Christina went to the dentist yesterday. Guess the report was good :-) she can go one more time before her insurance runs out. Next week she goes to the pulmonalogy. I told her make sure she makes that appt. too as then she can get in one more time too before no insurance and stock up on her asthma meds. Not sure what she will do for insurance come January.

We are working on the bathroom. (STILL) I am thinking by the end of June we should have it done. We ran out of white tile so when we are in SA this next week (have several dr appts) we will pick it up. Will be nice to finally have a room done.

We got home around noonish yesterday
Loaded the race car to the truck and off we went to Edna so Joe and the guys could race
Joe took a 5th in the feature :-)

Will try to get to them on Tuesday when Joe goes to work (he works Tues, Wed and Thurs this week then off to nights he goes)

LOL We had to do it while the old lady was gone to church. I guess while we were gone she called the county or someone on a guy who was weed eating on the lot next door as he was making too much dust. Crazy!!!

We had a funny message on Joe's cell phone last night. Joann who lives behind us wanted to ask us if she got some chickens would it bother us. She went on to say she would make it so "Mrs Nixon" (crazy one) would not see it. She went on to say Mrs Nixon was bi polar. Joe and I laughed! I do not think we had even mentioned to her that we were having issues with her. So I guess the rumor is most definitely out there.

Supposedly Christina got a job. I do not know much about it as she was not talkative when I had her on the phone.

We are going to Floresville I guess on Friday. Joe is going to mow the lawn and ? Richard has done it a time or two for us. He called today to say a screen was off. I guess they had some good wind this past week. His son Edward is home from Korea on leave so we are hoping to catch him home and chat with him a bit.

Well I best go back outside and do a few more things. Pictures will come soon! :-)
