DSL

I "think" we finally have our DSL so we can get on. It does not seem like it is working 100% correct but better then it was :-)

We are settling in here in Cuero slowly. Joe worked all last week doing orientation for the hospital so not much work got done on the house. It will eventually though.

Last week was hospital orientation, 5 days. This week Joe started the NICU orientation. I think he works 3 days this week from 7 am-2 pm. He said he was going to try to stay after a few hours every day too and get on the computer to take some tests they do every so many months so we can have a tad better paycheck when we finally get paid on the 14th (I think)

Race season started last weekend. Joe started out 22 I think in the feature and worked his way up to take 6th place. He was tired after that race LOL Poor Brice did a lot of spins outs but none of the cars (we took 3) came home broke so that is a good race night.

This coming weekend the guys are off of racing. We will go to a birthday party on Saturday night with a bunch of people from Cuero.

We really like Cuero a lot.

Alive

We are still alive and kicking. I have horrible internet service for the moment so not online much at all. Hopefully in the next week or so that will change. :-)

House coming along slowly but it will get there sometime

Our house in Floresville was broken in to last week. We were a bit shocked since we have never had any issues at all there. We are just glad that Christina nor I were there alone when they broke in.

change our mind? LOL

So can we change our minds? This week is proving to be a challenge already this week. Poor Joe is having such issues with the city inspector guy in trying to get the permit and be able to start building the garage. I got the permit but now they are having more issues. Last I knew they were going back and forth on the phone. Oh boy...fun fun. This city supposedly wants you to get a permit for every little single thing you do. All the people I have talked to say it is just a way for them to get more money and it is a real pain. I am sure it will all work out just frustrating.

I have worked a bit in the house but nothing too exciting :-)

Christina is recovering fine from her wisdom teeth procedure. She goes in tomorrow to have her stitches out. I did not tell her that it is not always fun getting them out LOL

They say we are to have rain the next few days. We shall see. Would be nice. I bought some grass seed and hoping Joe can get it out before it rains. Hm maybe I will do that this evening if I can find the deal to do it. Think I saw it in the storage shed.

Hello from Cuero

Hello from the RV in Cuero Texas :-)
We closed on Tuesday and have been so busy since then
Joe has trimmed trees some (fell off the ladder and hurt his ribs though), mowed the lawn, put weed and feed down, etc. Him and the guys tore the old garage down and get the area ready for the new garage to come in. I think they start on it this week. (I have to get the permit tomorrow!)

Christina got her wisdom teeth out on Wednesday. Poor child was in the chair 4 hours. She had herself so worked up he was having issues getting the medicine to take effect. She did ok though and is recuperating. She was here for a day or so but we took her back to Floresville on Friday. I talked to her a bit ago and she is still a bit achy but surviving.

Poor Joe drove all the way to Floresville late this afternoon as he was to work tonight. As soon as he got there and was about to head in to SA they called and said they were putting him on call. Neither of us are too happy about that at all. Let's hope he does work Monday and Tuesday night. He works next week on Sunday and Monday too and then he is done there.

Tomorrow....let the fun begin

Well looks like everything is working out after all. Guess we just need to have patience at time and faith too that everything happens for a reason.
So off we go to Cuero tomorrow to close on the new (old LOL) place. We have an appt for 2.

I am not sure when I will be back on line as we have not yet set up internet there. BUT I think if you send me a message to 2108879964@messaging.sprintpcs.com I will get it on my phone :-)
Our minutes on our cell phone are already scary with all the phone calls we have made on the bill so I am trying to stay off it as much as I can. I can get text though so text away :-)

I will be back in Floresville to meet Christina around 10:45 on Wednesday. It is wisdom teeth removal for sure. I think she is getting a bit nervous about it now as she was asking me how much pain she will be in. She will go with me back to Cuero atleast til Friday when I have to come in yet again for a DR appt. I am sure I will load stuff in the truck every time I come in so hopefully soon we will have all the stuff in Cuero.

Another showing today

Wow these people sure call early! At 8:20 the scheduling people call to schedule a showing. They will be here 12-1:30. Poor Joe won't get a whole bunch of sleep today. Hopefully he can go back to sleep after the people leave. He works again tonight.

Last night they were saying on the news that this year is a the worst year for mountain cedar. I believe it too, especially today. Headache, stuffy nose, etc. Ugh! They said also last night that normally by now the counts are either gone or low. LOL Not this year.

Guess I need to mop the kitchen floor then run into Floresville as I definitely need stamps so I can mail bills.

UPDATE:
last I heard closing is tomorrow at 2 pm. I need to see about insurance I guess since we do not think our loan officer opened an escrow acct and of course (We are NOT happy with this guy) did not respond to the question on the paperwork about seeing how they can help with home owners insurance. I will be glad when this is over with.LOL Definitely has not been a smooth thing with our lender that is for sure.

Feed back and Sunday

We got feed back from the house showing. It said "Probably too much house for these 1st time buyers, but the wanted to see because they'd like a home with a workshop. "
We were happy it was nothing negative :-)

Joe and I went to get some more boxes today. I sure hope that is all we need. Will work on filling them I guess later on today or tomorrow while Joe sleeps.

Poor Joe has needed new tennis shoes for a bit so we stopped at Kohls where he found 2 pair. One is for running. He seems to think when we move that he is going to start running and I need to go with him. UM NOPE but maybe I will ride my bike. Only bad thing is he is going to run to the park I think and it is up hill a tad. UGH We shall see

Then we ate at Texas Roadhouse. Man that was the best steak I have had in a long time. (do not eat it too often now days)

Joe is napping now while he waits for the NASCAR race to start. He has to work tonight so not sure how much he will get to see of it.

I need to go make my list of what needs to be done this week. Going to be a busy week that is for sure!
