Memories
I think my most favorites memories are holidays when we were kids and spent them with our cousins and grandparents. In St Louis the house was packed with everyone. Some of my cousins and I mention it often how we so loved being there. While I cannot remember the food I can remember eating in the back room that was next to the kitchen. The kids had to eat in there :-) There was normally 9 cousins there as the other 4 lived further away.
Now days our memories are spending time with our friends here in Texas. It seems to be a tradition now that we spend it with our friend Michele, her girls and her mom. This year we add her boyfriend Bill :-) We have went back and forth from each others houses but the last 2 have been at Michele's. Sounds as if next year I need to plan it for my house. One year we even had 2 Thanksgiving meals...LOL they came out to our campsite at the lake and then we went to their house the next day.

Karly Fay
Years ago when we did our first tour in Germany I met this lady while riding the street car into Lee Barricks. We became friends and spent many many hours enjoying our tour of Germany with them. Tysen (son) was only like 1 1/2 yrs old and just the best kid. We had him so much that at times people thought he was our son.
Over the years we have kept in touch and seeing each other occassionally (went last year to Heather Kaye's wedding...daughter)
Yesterday Tysen became a dad for the first time to Karly Fay weighing in at 5 lbs 16 oz and 18 1/2 inches long. I wish we lived closer so we could go see her in person.
Now we wait to see if Heather can add to her family in the coming years. She has an adorable son already.

Pooped out
Joe and I hit the road early this AM for Lost Maples State Park. We got there around 11:30 as we stopped at Walmart in Castroville to get a sub sandwich and candy to have on our hike :-) WOO HOO we paid $1.66 for gas there!
So we decided once we got to the state park that we would take the east trail. I wanted to go to the look out area atleast. Welllllllllllllllllllll we did the whole thing which was about 5 miles and some of it was VERY steep and dangerous. We made it though stopping only about 5 times LOL
It took us 3 hours to do the trail and eat our lunch at the top of the mountain or whatever you want to call it.

Joe update
Joe went to see the cardiologist today. Mainly he just went over what all he did when Joe had his heart attack last month. We did learn that his old artery was 100% blocked when he had this new heart attack. He scheduled Joe for an eco on Dec. 5th I think and wants to see him in 3 months. Also he has to do some labs. They are wanting to see where his cholesteral levels are now. When he went in with his heart attack his good was way too low, 23. ACK! The rest of the numbers were good though. He told Joe to drink a glass of red wine a night. Gag ;-P
Joe tried to go get an interview with a new hospital this AM too. He wanted 40 mins for the lady from NICU to come down to the job fair and then finally decided he needed to get home and get some sleep since he works again tonight. He is pooped, those babies wore him out the past two nights.
Christina is here for a bit I guess. She is supposedly going to wash her car. I was thinking maybe it is better not to wash it as it might fall apart then. What a nasty mess it is.

Home from racing :-)
Got home earlier today. Man we were pooped as we got to bed so late last night. Well gosh it was really this AM.
Anyway we had a nice weekend. I always love to go to the Texas Grand as there is so many cars there. I think this year was the most we have seen. The Dwarf cars alone had over 30 cars! What a busy weekend though for the guys and exciting too. Several really good crashes! Yikes...but thankfully all the guys were ok. Brice (young friend of ours who we really enjoy) rolled his car like 4 or 5 times. I started to see him go over and took off looking for the girl who came with him and then wanted to make sure where his mom was. He is fairly new to racing and his mom was a nervous wreck. (Brice is only 20) Luckily he was fine...his poor car though :-(
Joe did fairly well. In his first heat race he took 2, then he had to do another one and he WON!!!!!!!!!!!!! In the A Main feature race he took a 10th out of 26 (I think) He would of gotten better but the guys were having issues with their gas and Joe's kept slowing down then going fast. Several guys even ran out of gas. 30 laps plus who knows how many caution laps is way too many for the little dwarf cars. He had a GREAT time and seems to be feeling almost his old self :-)
Here is a few pictures I took:
We had a TON of rain the first night. Joe was trying to sweep some of the puddles out of the area
Joe helping Brad to get his car set up a tad better (he is a new driver)
Guys trying to see if they could get Donnie's car going :-( No luck at all
Joe just HAD to tinker with his car all weekend LOL
Vroommmmmmmmmmm sliding around turn 2!
Poor Donnie did not get to race but had to watch
Cutie pie Anna! :-)
Ouch poor Joe's bumper took a beating

Robynn and Dallas had made a trip to Garden Ridge for Halloween decorations :-)

Home from TMS
Hello all! Hope everyone had a safe Halloween!
We got home earlier today. Had a good time and every day but one day Joe did good while we were gone. He was so warn out when we got there Wednesday night.
We enjoyed seeing our friends, the races and just being away.
LOL Never boring when we go to TMS. This time they had 2 earthquakes in the Dallas/Ft Worth area when we were there. We did not feel them though.
We ventured over to another camp area while we were there. All I can say is "What happens at TMS stays at TMS" LOL WILD area it was. Joe and I just sat back and watched and laughed at all the fools.
LOL Oh the picture of Joe is when he was listening to practice one day. He was happy his fan view would work over in the campgrounds so we did not have to go sit in the hot sun.
I have a few more pictures and will post once I get them on my computer.
OH supposedly another thing that happened while we were there was someone shot a gun off. I guess it ended up going into an rv and hitting someone. I need to go see if I can find the story. WILD people!!
