Yawn... morning! Joe and I were awake off and on all night long. Grr wonder what is up with that? We finally turned the tv on and ended up going back to sleep LOL

Joe headed out for his CPR class about 15 mins ago. Hoping he is home by noon so we can hit the road.

We are off to Texas Motor Speedway today. Woo hoo! Weather looks good, good friends, sounds like a great weekend is to be had.

Our house/pet sitter (Christina) arrived last night. Of course she arrived after we were in bed so we did not see her. I need to go get her a tad bit of gas and a gift certificate for food as not a whole bunch to eat here while she is sitting for us.

Chat at yall when we get back!

Fresh air

Joe and I went outside for a bit tonight. First Joe put some stickers on the race trailer....fancy smancy now ;-)
Then we went on a short walk since it was getting late and we did not want to be walking in the dark. We really should do more of it.

Nice Day Out and about

Hello! What a nice day Joe and I had today. We left around 10 or so and went to Cuero which is about an hour away. We met up with Brice (a race friend) and James (who is going to start racing). We checked out there cars and just chatted. After we left there we went on a hunt to find a new race track the guys may race at this next season. Oh my what beautiful acreage Shady Oak Speedway is on. There are so many nice oak trees. Will be a big change for us when we go in the HOT HOT Texas summers as when we are in Edna there is NO shade at all. Joe talked to the owner a few minutes and then we were on our way home. No we are just hanging out watching the race that Joe Tivo'd earlier today :-)

Tomorrow Joe will do mainly resting I think during the day as he is going to try to go to the NICU tomorrow night to work. Wish us both luck with our nerves! LOL I know I will definitely need some luck as I will be a worried wife. I am sure he will be fine and would not try it if he did not feel up to it. If all goes well he will try to work another night before we leave Wednesday afternoon for Texas Motor Speedway. He also has to go in Wednesday AM for his CPR renewal class.

Guys are gearing up for the Texas Grand in Houston the second weekend in Nov. Joe's car has been loaded for a few weeks now. He is anxious to get in the car and really will be disappointed if he cannot race.

RELIEF

Aw relief is what I am feeling at this very minute. Joe's GI dr who did the removal of a nodule a few weeks back just called. Man my heart started beating fast when he told me who he was. The good news is the nodule is NOT pre cancerous! Whewwwwwww what a huge relief! One less thing to worry about.

Not much

Not much new here at the Snow house. Joe did go to see the DR this AM. I guess they were pleased with how he is feeling as they reduced one of his meds already. He made an appt with his regular cardiologist but it is not for a few weeks still. We shall see...might be able to move it up some.

Joe went in to work for a few hours. He is just sitting around with some of his co workers taking some tests. He should be headed home in a bit I would think.

Cool here today. No rain though :-(

All is well at the Snow house. Joe feels better every day. One thing that is driving him crazy is he feels like he is having a night sweat pretty much 24 hrs a day. It hampers his sleep :-( He gets winded at times too. Other then that he is doing good. His chest is feeling better which I hope means that fluid around his heart has decreased. He goes to the DR tomorrow AM so we need to make a list of what Joe wants to discuss with them.

I guess Joe might go in to work tomorrow after the DR appt. He was scheduled to do some education testing. The hardest part will be for me not to be there with him. But I cannot smother him like I did last heart attack so I will just take deep breaths and survive :-)

Supposed to cool off even more tomorrow. We shall see. Hoping it will be perfect weather next week when we are at the NASCAR races. I almost sold the tickets but so glad I did not as Joe wants to go. We will just take it a bit easier then we normally do. We won't be going into the pits. Man the days I have gone in there with Joe wear me out.

Hope everyone is doing well.

My sister sent this to me....

A Keeper

Their marriage was good, their dreams focused. Their best friends lived barely a wave away. I can see them now, Dad in trousers, work shirt and a hat; and Mom in a house dress, lawn mower in one hand, and dish-towel in the other. It was the time for fixing things: a curtain rod, the kitchen radio, screen door, the oven door, the hem in a dress. Things we keep.

It was a way of life, and sometimes it made me crazy! All that re-fixing, re-heating leftovers, renewing; I wanted just once to be wasteful! Waste meant affluence. Throwing things away meant you knew there'd always be more.

But when my mother died, and I was standing in that clear morning light in the warmth of the hospital room, I was struck with the pain of learning that sometimes there isn't any more.

Sometimes, what we care about most gets all used up and goes a way...never to return. So while we have it, it's best we love it and care for it... And fix it when it's broken... And heal it when it's sick.

Sunday

Afternoon!
Everyday gets better :-) Joe finally got some much needed sleep last night. He woke a few times but luckily was able to go right back to sleep. He is like a whole new man now. His breathing rate has finally slowed down a tad. He normally has a strange breathing rate/sound whatever and I think he is about back to that.

We went out again this AM a bit. We stopped by to thank two friends who were my support this past week while Joe was in the hospital plus we grabbed a sandwich. We so appreciated all the support we (mainly I) got this past week. It means the world to us to have such great friends and family members who we know are there to listen and just be there if we need them. Love yall!

We have got quite a few emails and calls from Joe's race buddies. He really hopes that by next month he can race. We shall see what the DR says. He is not on a blood thinner so that is a plus :-) If he cannot race we will definitely go be with the guys and watch them race but if I know Joe he will race. I will be more a wreck then I normally am then for sure LOL

Hope all are having a good Sunday!

Beautiful God Daughter

Not a whole bunch of activity going on at the Snow house today. Most of the day we laid around. I did put some laundry away and nice Joe matched socks for me :-)

Joe had a rough night. His anxiety level is so high he could not calm down enough to sleep. I think he "might" of got 3 hrs sleep last night. And today he finally got 1 1/2 hrs after taking an adavane (sp?). I am hoping tonight will be a different story. Over he feels good. The only other problem is his resp. rate is high. It is like he is getting ready to take off it seems so fast most of the time right now. He was doing this in the hospital too but then it would slow some. We plan to call the DR on Monday to see if maybe they can give him something for the anxiety as he MUST get his rest and cannot go on this way.

We tried going out for a bit to see if that would help. We needed a new phone as ours were wore out from the alien child using them so much. I got one for downstairs that stays on the wall and a new one from upstairs :-) Now hopefully when I want a phone I can find one that is charged :-)

Our weather is finally getting some cooler. We were able to turn the a/c off. Woo hoo!!!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend

Morning :-) Gosh it is almost afternoon.

Joe did not get as much rest as we had hoped he would last night. Between the pneumonia shot causing aching in his arm and the Pericarditis he just could not get comfortable at all. He finally went and slept some in the recliner.
This AM he wanted to go with me to the grocery store so we made a quick trip. Gosh we were not in there 20 mins if that. I tried to get him to use one of those motorized chairs but that was a no go :(
Poor thing just does not have an appetite. Hopefully that comes back soon. We got some yummy popcycles maybe he will want some of those.

I on the other hand got plenty of rest. I woke a few times when I heard him really moving around but was able to go back to sleep. :-)

Joe talked to his mom last night for a long time. She sounds so good (I have talked to her a few times lately)Also spoke with his brother Matt and he sounded good. He is the one who had that horrible accident at work awhile back.

Well off to do a load of wash. More sometime soon.

Improving

Short update...Joe is improving. In some horrible pain...never seen him in such pain. He was moved out of CCU today and into a regular room. Tonight he was really with the program and almost back to somewhat normal Joe. If he improves a lot over night with a ton of rest and tomorrow goes good he should go home soon. Things look so much brighter then they did on Tues.
More when I can

Joe

Joe has suffered a heart attack again. He had 2 steents so far. They have to go in today and work on his old steents from 01. When I left last night he had been stable all day. Was in so much pain and they finally were doping him up so he was resting. I will try to upsate either tonight or tomorrow AM

Home

Joe did fine with his test today. LOL Now though he is so doped up. I have no idea how I got him to the car nor up the stairs in to bed. Sure working last night and being tired from that did not help. I would take a picture but sure he would not be happy with me.

As far as I can tell they removed the nodule. Tests results will be back within the next two weeks the paper said. Maybe when Joe wakes he will remember more to tell me :-)

So here I sit keeping a close eye on him as I have no idea what he might do in this state. LOL I need a baby gate at the top of the steps!!!

Monday

Yawnnnn going to be an early AM tomorrow for me. I have to get up and meet Joe at the hospital around 7:30. He has to go in again for that scope test to see if they can find anything else about that nodule they are not too sure about. Hopefully he will do just fine like he did last time.

They say a cool front is coming. Do we believe them or ? Of course Texan weather men will say a cool front is coming and the temperature will only drop a degree or so. I always have to laugh when that happens. We sure could use some rain!!

Got the game room painted today. We also got halfway down the steps too. Ran out of paint so will have to go get another gallon later on this week. I only have the master bathroom left, all the trim and some touch up to do. I will be so glad when it is all done! Guess when the inside is done I will have to start working outside...yuck.

Well have a good week yall. I will try to update tomorrow if we hear anything.

Saturday

So what is everyone up to this weekend??
Neither Joe nor I are feeling the best so not a whole bunch going on. We did go out for a bit today to the Truck & Car show as Joe wanted to see the new camaro. We had a free parking coupon and then we got in with our military cards so that was a good day.
They had a real nice '69 camaro!

This afternoon is a lazy one. Joe is napping and I am just catching up on emails.
