Rain
Joe and I headed over to Sea World earlier today for a bit. We have season passes that we bought at the end of last year as we were supposed to have several family members come down this summer...but everyone backed out so.......
Anyway we saw a few of the shows we have not seen this year :-) Then the storm clouds started rolling in. Joe was going to try to ride a ride before it hit but then they closed it down. Ooops hurrying we tried to make it to the car before it rained. LOL That did not work out too well so we hurried into the beer hospitality building. Darn had to get some free beer :-) Man it was packed in there with everyone trying to get out of the downpour.
LOL I told Joe we were just practicing being in the rain for when we are in Seattle and Alaska in a bit over a week from now. We both decided we do not care too much for wearing wet clothes.
Guess our evening will be filled with watching NASCAR as I think it comes on around 7 or so :-)
Hope everyone is having a good weekend!

Did ya
Did you think I ran away since I have not posted this week? LOL Sometimes that might be nice :-)
Joe worked 3 nights so far this week. Woo hoo! And as long as he does not get a call soon he will work 1/2 a shift tonight for his friend Bob :-)
We had to go get Christina a new ID card today as she lost her military id card. ACK! We had thought she might not be able to get a new one due to her age and not being a student but the good news is she can have one til she is 21 and IF she was in school full time she can have it til 23. Phew.............
Joe and I also went to t he movies today. We saw "Death Race" It was pretty good :-) OINK then we shared an appetizer at On the Border.
Hit some HEAVY rain on the way home. Man I thought we would never get out of it!
Our friends Dallas and Robynn are at the Bristol Raceway (or is it Speedway?) this weekend. They sent some great pictures of Robynn with two of the NASCAR drivers...well Rusty Wallace does not race anymore but still.....

Saturday
Races in Edna were rained out! Poor Joe really misses not racing.
So we called up the Kinser's and met them for dinner at Longhorn Cafe then went out to Green Acres and the guys rode the go carts. They bought 2 rides each but the rain came and only got in one ride :-( They had fun though...but of course we always enjoy being with the Kinser's :-)
We raced home so we could see the Olympics. I think I am addicted! We made it home in time to see Phelps do his last swim! GO GO GO! Boy did you see his mom's face yesterday when he just barely won? LOL
Man tonight it was so nice outside once the storms came in. I told Anna I almost needed a jacket LOL Too bad we still have a ton more warmer temps left til we see things cool down for good. Of course some think it never cools down here in Texas LOL
Hope all are having a good weekend! Night

UGH we started painting the guest bedroom. My body does not like to paint at all. Especially my back and hands. The walls are done now just have to do the trim work.
Nothing exciting going on this week at our house. Been a LONG week I think.
Joe just about ready to race again. He goes to Edna this weekend. I think he goes there one more time this race season.
Guess I need to go find something for dinner. Hope all are having a good week

Tired
Man we are tired and headed to bed shortly.
Joe raced in Houston last night. Sad to say it is another sad weekend for racing for Joe. His car just has an issue and he cannot seem to pinpoint it fully yet. Hopefully this week he can check out some other ideas he has to what the problem will be. He did finish the races but................
This AM when we left Port Lavaca I talked Joe into go the longer way home to Port Aransas. The Kinser's have their camper down there at the beach so we surprised them with a visit! We sat on the beach a while, watched the NASCAR race then hit the pool for a bit. It was fun to see them and we were so sad when we had to leave and not just to our rv :-(
Riding the ferry over:
We see you!
Anna
Patrick
Pat
Joe and Jonah having a blast :-)

Thursday excitement
Exciting day here.....NOT! :-)
Joe and I went into BAMC as Joe had a dr appt with his latest internal medicine DR. He seemed to like her. She is changing a few of his medicines and ordered blood work for Oct. but other that nothing too exciting. Hoping the meds help a tad. He still has a bit of funny feeling in his chest and a cough at times. They think it is one of his meds as when he has missed it in the past he feels better. So....we shall see. Over all he is feeling great!!
Joe is napping now as he gets to work tonight again :-) It has been a much better week for work :-)
Race cars are loaded and ready to head to Houston on Saturday AM. Think it is going to be a HOT night there.

Another .....
Well it was another bummer race weekend for the 3 cars we haul. Donnie had some fuel issues but did end up running the feature. Not too sure where he placed. His son's old car ended up losing the brakes. And Joseph Ray decided he liked to be involved in accidents this weekend. (plus another issue or two) Not super big damage but he has a bit of work to do before he can haul it to Houston Saturday and race. I am glad the season is headed to an end I think.
We spent the last two nights at Donnie's in Port Lavaca. Friday night we went over to another friends house where Donnie cooked a yummy dinner for us. It was a fun night and nice to meet our friends wife.
It was hot hot hot here. I know Joe and I will be chilly in Alaska but I am almost looking forward to the cooler temps. In a month we leave. Woo hoo! I really need to get worrying about clothes to take!
Joe was able to work tonight. They first said they did not need him but 2 hours later they called. Woo hoo! Wonder how many nights he will get in this week?
I guess Christina worked the last few nights. We have not seen her since we came home.
